Candied Pumpkins

Ingredients

– Pumpkin
– Yams
– Butternut Squash
– Cane Sugar
– Cinnamon Sticks
– Water

Instructions

  • Wash your pumpkin, squash, and yams
  • Cut up all your ingredients in to bigger chunks and place the pumpkin and squash in a pot. Your yams will bake in the oven.
  • In the pot with the pumpkin and squash add crushed cinnamon sticks and Piloncillo (cane sugar) to each piece of squash and pumpkin. Add water (about 1.5 cups), cover and cook on low until it’s tender and the sugar cane has become a sap.
  • For the yams, set oven to 350° and add crushed cinnamon sticks + cane sugar to the top. Cover and bake until cane sugar becomes sap (about 20 min).
  • Once pumpkin mixture is done drizzle the sap over yams. Serve and enjoy!
