Like most Americans, your phone is on your nightstand or pillow at the end of the day, and it’s probably the first thing you reach for when you wake up. We’re not here to chastise you over your technology usage or check your screen time logs. We’re here to help you start your day more grounded.
Here is a tip we learned from organizing and productivity consultant and a New York Times best-selling author,Julie Morgenster: start your day screen-free.
Julie advises all of us to wake up. Smell the coffee. Feel the shower. Pat your cat. Snuggle your dog. Say hello to the people you live with.
Be present, because then your day starts grounded. Starting the day on our devices can put us in a reactionary mode which is hard to get out of. So, take our advice – silence your phone and sip your coffee.
