She’s Keeping Her Friend’s Legacy Alive with a Disability Center

Jacqueline Jewell’s best friend, Nyome Kamara, died unexpectedly after a lifelong battle with sickle cell disease last year. At the time, Nyome had just moved the adult day-care center she founded for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities into a larger facility, but it had not yet open. Determined to carry out her best friend’s vision, Jacqueline stepped in and the rest is history. Jacqueline talks to Tamron about her mission to keep Nyome’s legacy alive.
