Former CNN Anchor Isha Sesay Quit Her Job to Fight for Kidnapped Nigerian Schoolgirls

Isha Sesay was working at CNN when she came across a story that eventually made her give up the job. Her coverage of the kidnapping of 276 schoolgirls in Chibok, Nigeria, by the Boko Haram terrorist group even caught the attention of Michelle Obama. Isha’s passion for the girls ultimately led to her parting ways with CNN and in 2019, she put all her experiences into a book, “Beneath the Tamarind Tree.”
