Spiced Up Turkey Chili From Ali Rosen’s 15 Minute Meals

Ingredients

  • Dash of extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 pounds (900 g/32 oz) ground turkey
  • Kosher salt (at least 1 to 2 teaspoons, more as needed)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon anchovy paste
  • 1 28-oz (794 g) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 15-oz (400 g) cans kidney beans
  • 1⁄4 cup (60 mL/2 oz) apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  • To a large stockpot on medium high heat, add the olive oil, turkey, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and anchovy paste and cook for five to seven minutes, or until the turkey has browned a bit. Drain the tomatoes and kidney beans, but reserve their liquid if you like a soupier chili. Add the tomatoes, kidney beans, and cider vinegar to the pot. Bring up to a low boil and cook for five more minutes, uncovered, stirring occasionally. If you want the chili to have a soupier quality, you can add back in some of the reserved bean and tomato liquid. Add more salt to taste and serve hot.
