CUPCAKES & JAR DESSERTS

Cupcakes w/Glitter Dusted Chocolate Strawberries & Flowers
Ingredients
- Melted chocolate (variety of white, milk, and dark)
- Vegetable oil (a dash to keep the chocolate shiny and dippable)
- Pretty strawberries (sized to fit on the cupcakes)
- Edible glitter (white, silver, gold and perhaps lavender or pink)
- Nasturtiums and Pansies (edible)
- Glitter dust (the guest will bring along with spray bottles to use)
- Frosting (all cupcakes should be frosted with white frosting)
- Cupcakes in pretty wrappers (can be vanilla and chocolate varieties, box mix is fine)
Directions
- In separate small bowls mix together the melted chocolate with a splash of vegetable oil.
- Dip the berries in the chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off. Place the chocolate dipped berry on a parchment lined tray and dust with the edible glitter.
- Allow to harden at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
- Fill a pump spray bottle with the glitter dust. Spritz the flowers so each petal has a glisten. Allow to set for a minute.
- Using a fluted pipping tip, pipe the frosting decoratively on the cupcakes. Top each cupcake with the glittered berries, flowers or a combination of the two.
Garden in a Jar
Ingredients
- 1 (13.29 oz) package chocolate sandwich cookies
- 1 (3.4 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups cold 2 % milk
- 8oz block of cream cheese (room temperature)
- 1/2 stick (4 tbsp.) unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 8oz whipped topping (chilled)
- Colorful marshmallow bunnies
- Sugar coated chocolate eggs
- Jellybeans
Directions
- Place the chocolate sandwich cookies in a resealable plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Feel free to make them as fine or coarse as you desire to mimic dirt. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk according to the package instructions. Allow to sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
- In a separate bowl, combine the cream cheese and butter. Using a handheld mixer, beat on medium speed until smooth and fully combined. Add the confectioners’ sugar and mix on low until smooth, light and fluffy. Using a rubber spatula fold in the thickened pudding followed by the whipped topping until fully combined.
- Spoon a layer of cookie crumbs in the bottom of different small jars, teacups and pretty small containers. Spoon some of the pudding mixture on top of the cookies, followed by another layer of cookie and more pudding mix.
- Top with the cookie crumbs to mimic soil. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to set. Decorate with the bunnies, eggs and jellybeans as desired before serving.
