Shaw-naé Dixon’s Signature Agave Butter Wings

Wing Ingredients

  • Large Party Chicken Wings
  • 1 cup AP Flour
  • 1/4 cup Course ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup Pink Salt
  • Garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup Paprika
  • 1 qt chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup Onion powder
  • Canola oil to fry in

Wing Agave Butter Sauce

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3–4 tbsp agave syrup
  • Pinch of salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Season your flour by mixing with the pepper, salt, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Season your wings with the same mixture: pepper, salt, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Dredge your wings in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.
  • Then dip your wing in chicken broth and re-dredge (double-dredge!) the wings in the seasoned flour.
  • Preheat the canola oil to 350°F and fry until golden brown.
  • To make the Agave Butter Sauce combine the butter and agave and toss with the hot wings.
